Reverend Rambie Bernardino

Rector

The Reverend Rambie Bernardino

I am Rambie Bernardino, born in Tabuk City, Philippines. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy in 2004 from San Pablo Major Seminary. After graduation, I worked for several years as a Christian Education Teacher, Prefect of Discipline, and Human Resource Assistant.

In 2010, rather than returning to the Roman Catholic Seminary to pursue my dream of becoming an ordained priest, I joined Saint Andrew’s Theological Seminary of the Anglican Church. I graduated in 2014 with a Master of Divinity degree, Cum Laude, and was honoured as the recipient of the Faculty Award for being a model to my fellow seminarians.

After passing my Canonical Examination, I was appointed as a Deacon Intern at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Tabuk City from June 2014 to April 2015. In May 2015, I was transferred to serve as the Deacon in Charge of a three-point parish, which included The Associated Parish of Advent, St. Michael and All Angels, and St. Peter and St. James Episcopal Church. During my time in these parishes, I was ordained as a Deacon on December 8, 2015, and to the Sacred Order of Priests on December 7, 2016, the feast day of St. Ambrose.

In July 2017, I moved to Canada to be with my family. In the summer of 2018, I began attending All Saints Anglican Church in Waterloo, where I took over the Youth and Children’s Ministry. During my time at All Saints, I was blessed with numerous opportunities to practice my ministry as an ordained priest. I was appointed Honorary Assistant Priest, and on October 24, 2021, I was given the privilege of starting a new ministry for my fellow Filipinos in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

In February 2024, I was appointed Interim Priest at St. Columba in Waterloo until the church was deconsecrated in November 2024. On May 1, 2025, I was appointed Rector of St. James Anglican Church in Cambridge, a role that became official on June 15, 2025, through an Induction service and Eucharistic Celebration, where I was warmly welcomed by the wonderful congregation.

For any liturgical, sacramental, or pastoral needs, I can be reached at rector@stjamesang.ca, rambiebernardino@diohuron.org, or by phone at 226-899-2840.

May God always be with you!

The Reverend Rambie Bernardino
