We are better together. We believe real life change happens in the context of authentic relationships, which is why we are a church made up of small church groups
We are better together!
God designed us for relationship, and it is in this environment that we grow and become. People in our church culture create church groups around what matters most in their lives. This can look like connecting with people who share similar interests, are at the same stage of life, or who have experience in an area in which you want to grow. We have a wide range of group options, and we believe that there is a group just right for you, where you'll feel you belong.
UTX (Under The Cross) Youth Group
Our group consists of youth between the ages of 11-18. We meet as often as possible, however between personal schedules, serving or nursery commitments we are gathering usually at special events.
Men's Group (Canoe Club)
In 2004 some of the men of St. James formed a canoe club and every year since have taken an extended long weekend in July to paddle to the interior of Algonquin Park. It's a time of relaxation, fellowship, laughter, fantastic food, wildlife sightings, campfires, swimming, fishing, church in the wilderness, and generally recharging.
Chancel Guild Group
We are a group of women from the church parish. As part of our outreach ministry, each week flowers are given to the sick ,shut- ins, new members of the church or parishioners celebrating special occasions.
